Association Petite Graine leads the project Voices Unheard from the Pyrenees to Kibera. In this framework, the team works with young people from the Pyrenees on the climate risks affecting their territory, particularly floods in Luchon and drought in Caramany.
This document provides an analysis of the existing policies addressing these climate challenges at European, national, regional and local levels, as well as their shortcomings. It is also based on questionnaires and on the views and ideas collected from young people in the two territories.
Based on these contributions, we identified several areas for action that public authorities could implement now to strengthen adaptation and the capacity of territories to respond to climate events, while improving transparency, inclusion and democratic participation.
